FreeRice is a wonderful initiative, in which by playing a simple vocabulary game you could be helping to feed people in some of the poorest nations. For every word you get right 20 grains of rice will be donated to the United Nations World Food Program by the site's sponsors. The program aims to provide English vocabulary to everyone for free and to help end world hunger by donating rice to hungry people for free. Since the site began over 38 billion grains of rice have been donated to the program! Skip over to the site to have a go now!
Oh and the site does warn that by playing the game it may make you smarter...
Step one: Lie on your human slave's lap.
Step two: Remain there until human starts feeling slightly trapped and hot.
Step three: Look up disconsolately when they try to get up from the chair.
Step four: Let your human place you delicately on the cushion. Meow tragically if they don't handle you with the care better dispensed to a valuable antique.
Step five: Immediately fall asleep. Increase your weight by relaxing completely, so that if they try to lift you, you'll weigh more than three large history books.
Step six: Enjoy. Snoring loudly is encouraged.
Made this last night, its a knock off Shootsac I made the removable flap the same size as Shootsac covers so If I can ever afford a real Sac my covers will fit!
and I didn't have anywhere to wear it.
Is not that they are loud noisy or anything like that. It is that they are rude. A couple days after i took this lovely picture of Zeke, he attacked me. Earning him a beating with my shoe, and a game of hide and seek with the crazy snow shovel wielding psycho lady who takes care of all the critters. If he does it again he could be turned into a pie.
You've probably heard in the news that the International Whaling Commission (IWC) is due to meet in Chile next month. Japan will be out there pushing hard for commercial whaling. That's why Greenpeace and The Daily Telegraph have teamed up to create a petition where you can make your own 'origami' whale and send a swimming message to the Prime Minister of Japan. You get to design your whale and even write a personal message. They will be presented to the media and delivered to the Japanese embassy in Canberra and will also be shown to the IWC delegates in Chile to highlight the message.
